A complete redesign and migration of an outdated WooCommerce-based online shop to Shopify, featuring nearly 800 products, a new visual identity and a more thoughtfully structured layout. The result: in the first six months, 65% of turnover came from organic traffic, representing a monthly revenue increase of +367% compared to the previous site. The more transparent customer journey and the visually rich, detailed product pages convinced customers more quickly, resulting in more high-quality, bespoke orders.

Paplan-Parna.hu is an online shop selling home textiles and bedroom products, where the aim was to completely revamp an existing but outdated online shop. During the project, we did not merely update the design; we rebuilt the entire online shop from scratch, giving it a more modern look, a better-thought-out structure and a more stable back-end system. From a business perspective, the main objective was to ensure that the online shop would finally not only have an online presence, but would also genuinely support sales.
We treated the project not merely as a technical migration, but as a complete revamp of the online shop. The focus was on making the online shop easier to navigate, more trustworthy and more intuitive from a shopping perspective. Key elements of the new structure included a more deliberate content structure, a cleaner visual style, the refinement of search engine optimisation (SEO) considerations, and the aim of making the online shop more comprehensible to search engines and new types of AI-based recommendation systems. The final system was built on Shopify, which provided a more stable and easier-to-manage platform.
When the project began, a WordPress-based online shop already existed, but its design was outdated, its structure had not been thoughtfully planned, and, overall, it did not reflect the standard of the business. Although orders were received from time to time, there was no real strategic approach behind the online shop, so from a business perspective, there was much more potential in it than had been realised so far. The biggest challenge was the orderly and secure migration of nearly 800 products, as well as the development of a new system that is more modern, more transparent and easier to manage in the long term.
One of the project’s key tasks was to migrate the entire product range, comprising nearly 800 products. At the same time, a completely new, fresher and more thoughtfully structured online shop was created, which helps customers find their way around and simplifies the purchasing process. Another key task was to refine the SEO so that the online shop would better meet search engine requirements, both technically and in terms of content. In the later stages of the project, paid campaigns and organic Facebook content were also built upon this new foundation, giving the online shop a more strategic direction not only in terms of its appearance but also in its overall online operations.
The end result is a more modern, user-friendly and intuitive online shop, where customers can navigate the product range more easily and the checkout process is smoother. The new online shop delivered encouraging results from organic traffic right from the first month, with a significant proportion of orders coming from search engines. Later, advertising-based campaigns also delivered strong results: with an advertising spend of approximately 150,000 Ft, the online shop achieved turnover in excess of one million. In addition, more targeted social media communication helped to strengthen trust in the brand and boost the desire to purchase.
